We recently assisted Magic Flooring of Altamonte Springs in an application such as the one below

Businesses in the flooring / tile / carpet industry must no longer run back and forth to the computer to provide pricing to their customers. Utilizing barcode technology and batch or Wireless Symbol scanners pricing can be accessed in seconds remotely.

  • A sales rep is manned with a Symbol MC50 which maintains multi level pricing.
  • The samples on the sales floor will be bar-coded with the product ID.
  • When a client comes in and is choosing or pricing out the material all the rep has to do is scan the bar code from the back of the sample and the MC-50 will pull all of the information back to the device instantaneously. This includes Multi level pricing so if the customer is an end user they will get quoted “retail pricing” and if they are a Master Builder they receive a high level discount.
  • Future plans for this app include generating a sale right from the device and passing it back to the host.
