Enrollment
- During enrollment student gets assigned a student ID
- Student information is imported to RMS with the prepaid student balance
- Student & Employee ID smart cards are printed with integrated software.
- Student files are coded with RFID tags that tie back to the student linking them together electronically.
Inventory / Library
- Items of value are labeled with RFID tags
- Media is tagged; readers detect checkout and return
Bookstore & Cafeteria sales
- Student goes into bookstore and smartcard is picked up by proximity scanner (this is used instead of swiping a card)
- Name, picture (if desired) and account balance is called up on the RMS screen
- Sale is made and items of value are tied back to the student electronically. (If a book or laptop is lost it is easily tied back to the owner.)
- Account is debited and all sales history is tracked in RMS
Customize Touch Screen
- Customized touch screens at registers to provide quick and accurate checkout in cafeteria.
- OBS provides card swipes or RFID readers at each register to scan student Id cards.
- Each register can have selected menu screens to meet their specific needs.
Document Tracking
- Employees are issued smart cards
- When someone attains a file from the file room or area the badge is read along with the RFID tag in the file . This creates a check out record.
- As the file moves to a different department it is tracked through the system with strategically placed antennas. Block readers may even be placed at each desk.
Fixed Assets
- Items (desks, pc’ s etc) are labeled with RFID tags
- Buildings Rooms & locations are labeled with RFID tags
- A physical inventory is done tying each item to a location
- Future inventory is done in a fraction of the time utilizing the MOTO 9090 RFID scanner. The scanner actually knows what should be in each room
- If fixed readers and antennas are used a notification can be sent if an item (laptop) leaves an area that it is not supposed to leave.
Accounting
- Data may be imported on the front end or exported. RMS supports a direct interface to Blackbaud. We can also export to other programs
